 Re: Wanted
Sorry guy's, have been a little busy and only just read your posts.
I brought it back in the good old days when me and a mate used to fish for big cod nearly every weekend. I got it to troll with and it is a great solid reel. Took the exact same line capacity as my old Shimmano Calcutta 200. The drag on it is 13kg from memory and is more then I ever need unless I get to get up north sometime and apparently they go well on the barra.
I have it on a failry heavy Loomis a 853 i think 15-20lb i think. so casting has only been done using this heavy rod but i have used it to cast big Cod lures no problems and cast 85mm bugs with it also no worries.
Its a little heavier then the Calcutta but the reel is quality.
I will have to put it on one of my lighter rods and give it a try using smaller lures.

 Re: Wanted
Would like to give it a few cast one day soon if ya free boobs. Found a Black sheep thanks to Jade. Also been looking at the Daiwa z2020. Need to pick between the Black sheep and z2020. Tipping z2020 as it's low profile and 9kg drag with the upgrade.

 Re: Wanted
i would go with the z2020 over a black sheep i have never cast a black sheep but wouldn't think it would be much different than the daiwa 103 bay casting special i have.(which casts excellent) but if its a reel your gunna cast all day the low profile z2020 would be much more comfortable. i have just purchased a daiwa t3 to use up top end in march chasing barra. have only had it out for a quick cast but first impressions are good. it casts long distances effortlessly and the new 3d cast control seems to work well.it only has 6kg of drag but unlike some of my older reels is very smooth with no sign of chatter.the real test comes in march. i had a play with a z2020 last week and do like the feel of them in the hand and if there anything like the older tdz(best casting reel i'v ever cast) they will be an awesome reel.
as you may have guessed i'm a daiwa fan! but unfortunately they do not sponsor my dare i say it obsession for their top end products!!

Everyone has their own opinion on whats best and whats not. Most of them are wrong but thats their opinion Looking around tonight for the z2020. Hard to walk away from the black sheep as I've been hooked on getting one for 5 years. Now one turns up and I'm letting it go?? GRRRRR Looks like I'm fishing the run off this year too now.

 Re: Wanted
Yeah, I have to say thanks for that Jules. I do stray off the beaten track every now and then.
All done it's on it's way.
