Post Re: The other "Opening" in December
Have heard the latest is definitely closed for three years.

Sent a guy in management at PIRSA an email today so hopefully he will get back to me soon with a definite answer.

As you say Ray nothing at all has changed in the last 12 months so I can't see any reason to change things. Worst news is that they didn't find many floaters this year so they will be blaming it on the rec fisherman all the floaters from last year no doubt..... Only because thats the easy way out...

MMM, Snapper. Some quality fish there allroy (for Vic standards anyway!)
I was talking to some guy's over the last few days about Snapper fishing in PPB there are some great fish getting around the bay at the moment apparently.
I'm seriously thinking about puting my boat in the salt and doing a few trips to try and find them. I only live about 15minutes from Werribee South boat ramp but havent fished the bay for over two years now.

PS. allroy, I sent your spinnerbaits today

Thanks Boobs! no monsters in that lot but all fish over 45cm with the biggest @ 71cm. heading out again next week to try & upsize ;)

You should have a crack at them mate since you are so close! Not sure if they get into feeding frenzys in PPB, but I reckon it hard to beat a session on the snaps when everyones rod is loaded up with good fish at the same time 8-)

ps: will let you know when the lures arrive

Been chasing Snapper the last 2 nights & whilst they were a bit timid we managed 1 @ 82cm & another & 70cm 8-) plus a few in the 40-50cm range.
Next week the tides will be better so hope to bag out & keep the Mrs happy
The photos are rubbish so I apologise, hopefully get a few better ones as the season goes on.

Boobs the snapper have been going off in Port Phillip bay with plenty of our blokes from the club doing well. With all this water still coming down the rivers the fish will again push right up the bay. Plenty around Williamstown and Altona. Let me know if you are heading out and i will get you some places to try.
