Post Re: The Codstealer............. bastard!!!!!!!!
this bloke must be feeling like a real cock!

I somehow feel the story has really changed the real story from a couple of blokes whom knew of a private dam with Cod in it and had a fish. I think by memory the bloke in the pic said he released it? This may be true....or not! BUT! Since the Cod went missing and this bloke was stupid enough to post his pic, he has now been blamed for the farmers beloved pet going missing. There is a real chance that this dam has been fished by more than just these guys too. So the questionability is just how accurate is this story and is this bloke the thief. We must be careful not to string this bloke up just yet.

Even if this bloke released the fish he was still fishing somewhere he should not have been.
I think he did release it or the picture would have been taken at his house with the neck cut.
Word must have got around that there was a good size cod in a dam that was easy to catch.
Meato's would have loved the idea.

We put 500 cod and 500 yella fingerlings into a dam about 8 years ago, we have since caught a couple of each, cod were about 4kgs and the yellas about 2kgs. The water was down over the summer and we fished it pretty had to try and catch a couple more. We have since been advised one of the locals found out what we had done and they have been fishing there for the past few years with great results. As we don't live near by, it was open slather. Worst part, we put in another 1000 in
February, we have a tenant in the house now this could deter the odd fisherman. Lets hope.
