Post Spinnerbait Prototypes
Hey guys

Had a go at some spinner baits last year but ran out of time etc and couldnt seem to find exactly what I was looking for in a plastic.
Been getting samples and a bit of stuff made here and there and ive come up with these.
Im pretty happy with these, they are only prototypes and need some field testing but they swim nice and the tails have a great action.
Blades are Colarado deep cups for dead slow retrieve and optimum pulse.
Built cod tough.
If I decide to go ahead these will be pretty close to the finished product.

Excellent looking lures. Sensational paint job on the blades.
Do you think the R style wire tow point would be better than the twist?

The VMC Stingers ive fitted to these ride above the plastic and sit just slightly in front of the tail.
They sit up a bit so they dont impede tail action.
Ive got them in 1/2 , 3/4 , 1 ounce and a light one 5/8 from memory.
Probrably only go the firts two to three weights though.
Im not going in big with them, just another spanner in the tool box.

Juzza
Im no expert when it comes to SBs but I tend to like the twisted eye wires.
Only because they seem to me to be a safer point to fasten to ??
Happy to hear all ideas though.

No doubt you're a man of many talents JD. 8-) Look OK to me mate. Gotta love the colorados for pulse & vibe at ultra low retrieve speed which is whats gunna be needed this season with all the dirty water everywhere.

I will check out the plastics issue

I was thinking of getting some of these made bigger for chatterbaits anyway so may be able to kill two birds with one stone.

See what the manufacturers of the plastics have to say.
