whats the flash like off the painted blades?
sometimes i want flash( copper ) sometimes i dont ( black nickel ) be interested to know if there is much variation in the colours with regards to how much flash they put out.
Also are you going single blade variations? particularly willows and will you also be painting those?
cheers
Jules

They look great but like Jules said, flash plays a big part with the angler as well as the fish.

Look the goods JD, with the fast currents in the rivers ATM single willows are the only ones that will get down.
Like the painted blades, but your making a rod for your own back arnt you.

The pic doesnt do the blade finish any justice guys.

Its a candy apple enamel coating put over them that allows the flash to shine through.
You can use them for a mirror

The black nickel and many other colours you see on todays market are basicly done the same.
Obviously copper and other natural metal shines can just be pollished up and cear coated.

I guess there is a blade type and weight configuration for all situations and im not even gonna try and cover all these.
More just tinkering to put a few styles of my own in the box of tricks to try.
Im certainly not going to get into them in any big way, I will leave that for the pro SB specialists.
Five or six colours in a couple of styles is about it.

Mate, I've got 1 with colorados that will get down, a bloody great Bassman Quadspin that weighs in at 2 oz, only ever tied it on once, prick of a thing to cast but may be a goer on the troll, real slow I reckon. Maybe I should attach a stinger hook & a 8" soft plastic to to it & turn it into a megabait.  One thing is for sure, it's useless as it is so I may as well change it a bit & see if I can make it into something different that at least might get a fishes attention.

Hi.

JD mate nice looking spinners. In my oppion the twisted tow point is the way to go. To many times with the open tow point i have found that the line can move up towards the blades.

I fish fast flowering , skinny water 2.5 mts in depth would you be doing any with Willow blades 5/8 with Big Willow's. Can't find anyone who makes them. :(

Regards.
Irish. ;)

I will do the same six patterns with a Willow.
Nothing is gonna happen fast though as I havnt even put the order in to get the plastics manufactured and painted exactly how I want them so theres a month or two at least lag time.

Good point there Tates

I will see how the boys go with the prototypes.
The eye on the blade may well prompt to many high strikes.

Wont be doing anything or spending any money now anyway.
Have to see what state our fishery ends up in after all this blackwater.
May be out of business all together :(
