Just bought a Shimano Curado, and seeing that I have spent a bit of coin on a reel wanted to make sure I look after it properly. What Maintenece do people do on there own reels Where do you oil, do you send it off yearly to get serviced, etc etc

I never pull my reels apart unless they stop workin!

mind you, always wash the salt/mud off them after each trip , hand dry then spray with inox

For those like me not mechanically minded your local tackle store will do it for around 35 bucks. Once a season or two should be plenty.

I think thats more what I am looking for, not mechanically minded thats me
