Can anyone tell me if you are allowed to put a boat on here? dont really recall seeing anyone ever fishing it, but it does have a mega boat ramp.

Post Re: Pykes Res
Years ago before the draught I know of guys who used to fish it for trout fairly often and used to get a few.

It also had reddies in it but never heard of anything of any decent size. After the drought the reddies may have grown a little or be over populated and stunted.

When I got my first Minn Kota 10 years ago I went there twice to test it out as it was nice and close to home. Didnt catch anything!

I know it was closed to boating for several years during the drought but it open again now. On nice summer days it attracts a lot of skiers as its so close to Melbourne but there is enough space to still have a fish.

Woudl be interesting to see how it fishes been so close to home it could be a good place to go for a quite afternoons fish.
