 Re: The coorong
Buy some "bait mate" to hold your pilchards on your ganged hooks, pretty cold to be over there so once you have packed all your wet, warm weather gear...pack some more be sure to travel up and down beach with a mate in another 4wd as there wont be too much traffic around to pull you out if u get bogged finally dont go down there if its going to be a king tide ring the Salt creek road house for an up to date report of crossings, weather and fishing b 4 u go good luck, looking forward to the report, u should find a few Salmon I guess????

 Re: The coorong
COLD???? Its just heating up!!!
Should be warmish weather during September - you are a bit between seasons though....
The track is most of the time like driving on a highway.... Always safer to travel with another 4wd, but is an easy drive if you take your time and use your brains unlike some of the morons who end up down there....
Should be a few Salmon hanging around still, and your always a chance of Mulloway and Sharks.... Take plenty of pillies, and if you want Mulloway use live baits wherever possible.... Got a mate who does well down there and he refuses to fish until he gets live bait, and then casts underarm (gives you an idea of the type of water/gutters he is fishing...
At the end of the day, I only go to Salt Creek for a good weekend - rod is in the water, but no expectations.....
