 Re: Nelson
Well done mate, great to hear! Wish I was there with ya would have been great to see and I can only imagine how happy you would have been to get that beast let alone another 4 of them!
I agree Jade, I always gve them a swim if I find them, I recall finding a large Swagman Jumbuck lure many years ago floating down the river after 2 days of going fishless I put it on and had a rather nice cod on about 20 minutes later.

 Re: Nelson
Well done Wilb & Murla. Nice EP too. What was the water like? They say Oct and Nov the jews move out as the water gets dirty that time of the year like most of the rivers on the coast do. I'm not sure if this is true or if it's just a matter of the locals dont like fishing in dirty water. I fished it years ago but never got onto the Jews only Bream and Ep. I'd say the dirt waters not far away now with the rains we have had.
Great photo's
Cheers Scott

 Re: Nelson
Gr8 work Murls gotta be happy with finding a lure and catching good fish on it. Scott the water was very clear tanin color. Fished there last Nov and water was the same. I thought the water may have been a bit dirty with all the rain they have had lately but it wasn't. Taylors straight had 3 or 4 boats working it so it must have been where the mulls were hanging about. We got 90% of our fish around Donovans. Locals say it all depends on if the mouth is open or not but new research suggest that not all mulloway leave before the mouth silts up which is interesting. Lovely place Nelson where everyone talks about fishing!
