Got this Reddie on Friday as a bycatch chasing trout in a small local stream, biggest Reddie I've seen in the flesh, I didn't measure it or weigh it but I'd guess it to be 2 -3lb.

3 big ones from Saturday, 1.5-1.6kg weighed.

Well done guys, some sensational Reddies there.

Vistited Dad in Tatura with the kids last weekend. On Saturday we took my kids and the rest of the families kids to a local irrigation channel. Dad and I hooked the Redfin on lkures and allowed the kids to reel them in - they all had a ball. Cauhgt aprrox. 20 Reddies to 30cm on lures, no bites on worms. Kids had chips and fresh Redfin fillets for dinner that night! My son, Archie in the blue cap (4yrs) is hooked on fishing, every day since he keeps asking when are we going fishing again - love it!! May have to take him out Snapper fishing soon.

spent a couple hours on waranga basin today
biggest one was 41cm

bit late for the comp but thought i'd post pics here anyway.

hit fyans last thursday, found a tight school of fish and it was like fishing in a barrel with almost
every cast resulting in a fish.
most fish were caught on plastics but also managed a few on small hard bodies.
biggest fish was just on 2lb but most around 1/2 to 1 pound.
ended up bringing 50 home to fillet. yummo!!

Well done guys on all the Reddies caught in October and over the long weekend.

Great to see the kids getting out there and having a heap of fun and also catching some good fish.
I have my young nephew all keen to go fishing now and plan to take him out in the next month or two.
