Post Nelson
After 2 years i finally made it to Nelson, knew i shouldnt have gone because i had such fun that i know i will be back again. After leaving at 430am we arrived at our shack at Donovan's. Put the boat in and headed up stream. Armed with a 2lb to 6lb IMX with a Stella 1000 loaded with 2lb Fireline and 2 trays of lures my mate Mark Lucas lent me (thanks mate) i was keen to try my luck.

Wasn't long before i broke my Nelson cherry with a nice EP on a Jackall Chubby.

Then a bream on soft plastic.

Mean while Al was also amounst them.

Here is my best EP at 37cm on a ecogear sx 40.

LOOK AWAY NOW PRESTO.

Saw this fella looking for some tucker at the base of some cliffs, it had beautiful markings and was not interested in us at all. (thank god lol)

Post Re: Nelson
We had a great time over the couple of days we were there. While Al went for a chat with the owner of the shack i headed out and managed 6 EP's in 45mins between 29cm and 35cm, simply awesome.
Image
Al came back out with me and managed a new PB of 42cm bream that was over 2kg. Well done mate.
Image
Next morning headed to the mouth to chase a Mulloway on blades but only got bream and small salmon.

Here is a pic of our shack, cheap as and boat shed on the side was awesome. Was feeding peanuts to the many bream that lived under it. I know what i will be doing next cod close season!
