 Re: My Aussie day..
Ahh.. There lies my problem.. I/we got the tag number, but never noticed/passed over/didn't even think to look for, the phone number.. Bugger!! Might try the NSW fisheries number, and see what happens..
Cheers..

 Re: My Aussie day..
Fair chance it will be a NSW tag if the fish was caught in the Murray below Hume Weir, the tag in the fish i caught was yellow if that makes any difference. It was the first tagged fish i've ever seen so i'm not sure whether the different state fisheries us the same colour tag or not. They would be able to advise of the number to ring if it wasn't a NSW tag i'm sure. I enjoyed catching, releasing and reporting the details of the tagged fish, i hope the info helps fisheries in their future decision making. Cheers, Tony.

 Re: My Aussie day..
I received a letter and lure from NSW Fisheries today, apparently my fish was released with the tag in Sept 2010 at Lock11. Now I caught the 34 cm Golden Perch in the Darling 2 km below the main weir at Menindee. I wonder what makes a little fish living in the Murray above Mildura decide to swim probably 400 odd k's of river to a different snag. Hope she was worth it...

 Re: My Aussie day..
Pretty amazing thought that. It brings my attention to other posts elsewhere regarding the blackwater, in this instance how long it might take for any surviving cod elsewhere to decide to move house and take a trip to area's that may have little in the way of cod population?
