fished the lake over the week end very slow. only the odd cod getting caught. :o all the cod we caught are fill of small carp , :D and are as fat as pigs . the yatch club boat ramp has been fixed up for emergency access as order by N.S,W, water ways ,I was told by them when the check our boat out on saturday morning. you should be able to use a two wheel drive car ,but i only seen 4x4 (awd) cars useing it.. :P make sure that your PFD are up to date. as that was the first thing that the checked out ... no sign of fisheries , but thats not saying that the were not around watching.:|

Just a quick note about the PFD1 service requirements....... I new nothing about this until today. PFDs are to be serviced annually by manufacturer or you can "self service" and should keep service record as proof.

does anyone do this? What exactly are they checking for at Mulwala?

Self service is only permissable if it approved by the manufacturer of your specific PFD.

Maritime services will accept the service requirements as spelled out by the manufacturer of your specific PFD.

Contact the manufacturer with the model number of your PFD and ask for the service requirements.

cheers, sam

Have heard that some PFD's can be inflated manually and also with a cylinder. If this is the case are they legal with an out of date cylinder.
