 Gidday everbody
Steve here, have a couple of boys 5 and 13 that are keen on fishing.Been catching a few cod in the golbourn river lately which is good. The young fellow got onto something big last week on his 4ft kids rod, had it on for a while but just couldn,t land it on the little rod, he is still talking about it.We went to a local dam on the weekend that the owner had stocked 8 years ago. They caught 14 bass, 6 yellowbelly and 3 silver perch, we also went there a fortnight ago and they got 28 fish, they have been having a ball.Picked up a 4.2 metre tinny the other day so might see ya on the water some time.

G'day Steve, welcome abord.
I'm sure you and your boys would have had plenty of fun catching all those fish. Bass are an awesome fish to catch and its hard to believe they can go so hard until you catch one. Just remember fish in stocked / local dams very rarely breed so if you want the fun to continue for you and the family it may pay to let some of them go to catch next time. What area are you from fishing the Goulburn is something I want to get around to more sometime.
cheers, Boob's

 Re: Gidday everbody
Hey Boob,s
The bass were great fun to catch and good eating to, we have never caught bass before. We weren,t allowed to let them go, the owner said he wanted the dam thinned out of fish and to keep every thing we caught, don't know why? He said to bring the kids back anytime so we don't mind helping out.Been fishing the goulburn between seymour, nagambie, murchison area. They tell me the reddies have been going at eildon so we want to head over there next to test out the new boat and get a feed. Can't beat the old reddie in beer batter, the whole family loves em.
Cheers Steve
