Re: Free maps for your lowrance
14. Lowrance does not support garmin typesets for certain poi on the map and you will now see "?" on the map where this occurs. Note: You can use the magnifying glass icon to zoom in and out on the map. Attachment: garmin incompat.JPG 15. Now we need to get rid of the "?" icons on the map 16. Go to Edit -> Select -> By Type Attachment: edit by type.JPG 17. A box will appear, tick all the boxes with a "?" Icon and select ok Attachment: all questions marked.JPG

Re: Free maps for your lowrance
21. The lowrance files will export to the directory where the garmin image was saved in step 1. 22. A Status bar comes up in the bottom left hand corner during the export process. When this stops you are ready to copy to your SD Card Attachment: export progress.JPG 23. Go to the directory where the files were exported and highligh all the LCM files (hold control key down while selecting) and right click and send to to your SD Card. Attachment: copy to sd card.JPG

Re: Free maps for your lowrance
Trimming the mapTrimming the map allows for a smaller file to be created. 1. Select the trim icon on the menu bar 2. Draw a square around the area you would like to keep, right click on mouse and click on trim outside Attachment: trim square.JPG 3. You will be left with everything inside the square You can then export the map to lowrance
