Post Fox Shooting
G'day all, I had the chance to have my first go at shooting a fox on the weekend.

With our expert guide for the day Simon O, myself and 3 other Codseekers, Mal, Pilko and Tapey set off chasing down some ducks. After some success we came to a certain little swamp where our guide made the call that "we might as well drive some foxes out and let Boob's shot his first fox" With that said Tapey and Simon set of walking in from one end while myself, Mal and Pilko took up our spots and waited for Mr foxy to show himself.
After several minutes and with me in the "prime position" that Pilko and Mal let me take up the first fox came to the party. I seen it running between the bushes and waited to it was in the closest possible range (advice I picked up from Tapey) The pressure was on as if I missed I’m sure I would have been reminded of it all afternoon and also I’m sure word of my miss would have reached as far as Robinvale in no time and I would always be reminded of the miss! But after a quick BOOM ;) Boob's 1 Fox none.
A few minutes later Pilko gave me the nod from up the hill letting me know another fox was on its way and I eagerly awaited not sure where it would come out after a few seconds I got a look and it was a bigger one this time and at a further distance but two quick Boom Booms put it down and out :D

Lets just talk about the foxes hey

Nah I got a few. We ended up with about 50 both days I think. Yesterday we got onto a sensational swamp the most ducks any of us have ever seen but after only half hour the trigger/safty jammed on my gun and the trigger wouldnt move so I sat out for an hour tried everything but pull it apart.
Only after we where all of the water did I think to take the forearm off and check the springs but they seemed ok, put it back together and all was ok. Missed some great chances but will be back there again, hopefully.

From what I heard today the old "my guns jammed" might have been a good way to cover up all the excess lead that was being sprayed all around the countryside without making contact with anything resembling a duck. Hahahahahaha
Maybe hunting geese maybe more your style big fella. Bigger target LMAO
