I have a lowrance x52 and the other day the screen just went blank, when you turn it on lowrance x52 comes on screen for 1 second and then it goes blank. Don't know if it's worth getting someone to look at it or buy a new one?Was thinking about a lowrance mark 5x DSI, has anyone got one and what are your opinions of it, pros and cons.Would only be used in fresh water, rivers and lakes. Can get one for $389.50, can't really afford to spend more than around the $400 mark.Any comments appreciated.
Cheers

G'day mate,

I'm picking up a Mark 5 DSI tomorrow I brought it for a mates old man.
I looked at all the options in that price point and it seems to be by far the best value for money.

They look sensational! I'm actually thinking of getting one myself (will suss out my mates dads one when he installs it)
This sounder had Black and White screen but has down scan which loosk just about as good as HDS down scan.

G'day Boob's

Would love the coulor screen but just can't afford the extra dollars for it.
Let us know what your mates dad thinks of it as i aren't getting one for a couple of weeks, just doing a bit of research first.
But like you said i think thats about the best option for that sort of money.

Cheers
