Post Eildon Trip 3/11
Well what can I say other than I'm stoked with my PB Yella, 58cm of Eildon yella
Only one for the day & half trip but hey better than nothing, we did manage well over a century of redfin on Gold jigs with red feathers and Sp's, a few other follows from yellas and I had a big cod of around 80cm follow my spinner to the boat, had a good look and then just swam of into the depths

Almost forgot as you might have seen in the other eildon post a rabbit was caught on a doozer

I went to Bonnie Doon end on Friday, looked too good to drive past. Blew my sounder ( wiring problem) so hard to guage correct depth etc for good trolling. lots of submerged trees. Water not as clean as other parts of lake. A little bit of green Algae also, west of Caravan park, but plenty of small reddies around. Got a surprise, 4lb brown trout on a deep diving Predatek, but no natives sadly. Millions of big carp everywhere getting fatter every day, great sport on fly, so easy. Not many good reports for the Yellas, so a bit late this year, so much water. Just hope I can be there when they fire up.
Note to Admin, please remove that 9999999th visitor promo...it's driving me nuts.

Sorry butch - nothing we can do about the ads. Cos it's a free forum we just have to put up with them.
