Well......

No

As always it was great to catch up with some of the CodSeeker crew and meet a few members I hadn't meet as yet Like Craig-CV and his partner Rachelle.
The fishing was failry tough with the wind over the 3 sessions with only 14 legal cod in the 4hour Saturday morning session, 17 legals in the 4 hour Saturday arvo session and the 3 hour Sunday morning session seen 11 fish make it back to the weigh in station.
No big fish caught but one or two in the low 80cm range from memory.

I fished with Steady and we managed at least one fish in each session which was better then none i guess but none of them where over 60cm :(
Early in the Saturday morning session I thought I was going to be up for some cash when I had a decent strike on a 85mm super bug and a fish giving me a fair fight but it turned out to be a yella just on the 50cm mark  . Sunday morning Steady got a 58cm Cod on a trusty 100mm AP Tiger so again we got excited for a few seconds! :o

Saturday night we where all treated to a little bonus over at the Mulwala Water Ski Club where there was two bands on with the main one for the night been the legendry Mental As Anything which was good to see while enjoying a few beers and a few to many pints of Bundy Draught!

had to fix up Craig-CV's patners name, Michelle, Rachelle, all sounds the same after 20 bundy schooners and a very loud Mental as Anything playing in the back gorund.

Yeah, it was tough going alright Boobs, I've never known the wind to blow so consistantly for so long up there over that comp. :? Luckily Jake boated a fish on Sunday morning or Team Quanger would have pulled doughnuts, trouble was it wasn't size.
The missus & I went out for a couple of hours on Monday morning & the bloody wind got up again but we had a go anyway & guess what, I put the rod in her hand for a troll & 5 minutes later she's pulling in a cod!!!! I put in 11 hours in the 3 sessions of the Dash & don't manage a fish, she comes out for 5 mins & thinks "how easy is this?"
I dropped 2 on Saturday & 1 that felt like a ripper at 8.15am Sunday, it nearly pulled the rod out my hands & was probably my best chance at a "money" fish by the feel of it
Still, I spose everyone has similar stories from what really was a tough Dash.
Bloody great to see 2 Ballarat boys in Guy Rehfisch (H.Rehfisch & co. Tackle store)& his team mate Paul Kline win the Sunday morning session & bring home the big bucks with 2 good fish at 80 & 60 cms.

Yes great effort by Guy and Paul. They where telling me Paul got the 2 legals and also 3 undersize in the 3 hours Sunday monring session which was a great effort indeed!

Maybe next year Quanger you better enter Jake and the better half to represent Team Quanger in the Dash!

Don't knock the Hornet mate, at least it pulled your arse out of the water. It's not the boats fault you couldn't stay up for more than 5 metres.
