Spent a week in Phuket with the family and got out fishing on a charter on Friday just gone (during the tsunami). Here are some action shots!

Well where is the pic of the Hot Italian chick??????????

I went on a charter out of Phuket on one of my Thailand trips a few years back. Cost around $100 from memory so not to bad dollar wise but the fishing was rather ordinary. We where on a fairly decent boat and trolled out towards the continetal shelfs in the Adaman sea but there was only a few very small Tuna caught for the day. No bait fishing from memory, no doubt to save on bait cost.
I got to see some great little Islands though and crystal clear water and reefs.
There is some really good honest charters ran by Americans and Aussies but the cost is a bit more for a day out but they do put in a good effort and not try to cut cost like a lot of the genrall charters aimed at tourist just looking for day out.

Was $86, was similar to what Boobs described. Got picked up at 8.30, got on boat at 10, started trolling at 1030, stopped in a bay for lunch and snorkling at 1230, bottom bashed with hand lines with wipper snipper cord at 130, trolled back at 230, off boat at 500 and back at hotel at 630. Their was 7 of us fishing and lucky me drew out number 7 for the order when trolling. We caught 8 makeral on the way out. Bottom fishing only 2 small reef fish were caught, in 40m of water and rusty hooks you could feel any bites. Trolling home we didnt catch a fish. Would have like a picture of the italian chick but her hubby was a knob!
