As we are now the sole stockist of JD lures we have decided to allow all photos of cod with a JD lure in the shot to be entered in the major draw. This includes shakin shads, as well as all the hard bodied range. Of course all other lures in our store are eligible also!

are custom colours allowed presto or only codseeker colours and the standard jd colours?

Is that going to be backdated to the start of the current cod season, or just to the announcement of the changes (12/01/2010)?

i dunno bout the rules to me, but the rules is the rules,,,what I am referring to is that a m+ fish gets 20 ponts whilst those under get the single point...sort of weights the comp in favour of the guys fishing the big fish water...anyhow...i suppose it encourages guys to chase big cod.

Competitions are a bit of fun and no-one takes them too seriously but I'm with Ray here. Why should a bloke that might troll and drink beer all day get 20 points for a flukey catch, when other guys, who don't have the easy access to this easy fishing, flog other, less productive waters all day for lesser rewards in this comp? None of us fish for prizes, but let's be fair to all if we are gonna have competitions. 1 point per fish, fair for all. Otherwise, it will be odds-on that more deserving anglers will be short changed.

without sounding like a smart ass - when you guys donate the prizes, you can run it your way. i agree with you a bit, but it's presto's comp and he's donating the prize so he should be able to run it anyway he wants. just means we've got get out and chase more fish!!!!

Yeah i agree with you all, i cartainly agree with Ray, i fish heavily all season, and its doubtfull that i will catch 20 60cm+ fish to equal one big one from the bigger deeper water. Infact, ive never caught a single metre+ cod up this way, so myself, and others up this way are certainly at quite a large disadvantage.
BUT...i also agree with Budgie too. The comp is costing me nothing to enter, and the guy donating the prize is running the comp, so i cant complain at all. It doesnt hurt for guys like Ray and Butch to say whats on there minds though, after all, theyre only saying what everyone else is probably thinking and talking about privately. I guess it can be seen as "constructive criticism".
Either way, im very appreciative of the comp, and will be doing my best to try and enter it!! All the legal fish ive caught this season have been on other lures anyway!!LOL
