Left home at 4am with fellow codseeker Lizard who had come over from WA to going fishing at Nelson on Cup day. Got the boat on the water at Pritchards about 11am. Started well with a 34cm bream on a soft plastic in the first dozen casts. But not a touch after that. We put the boat back on the trailer went to the pub to get the key for the Shack we were staying in at Donovan's landing. Put in and fished around the Donovan's area, managed 6 more between us including a 43cm Estuary Perch which was a new PB for me.


Headed up stream next day to Sapling Creek area and worked our way back to Donovan's, managed 13 between us, including a 40cm EP to Lizard off the same snag I got my 43cm.

Hear of any mulloway being caught ATM?

Headed down stream on Thursday to the mouth only got a few around the bridge and poles area. Had a shag steal about a 25cm EP from me beside the boat which was different. Trolled Taylors Straight and I got a nice 55cm Mulloway on a Wasp hardbody from Eddy Lures.


Lizard got his first ever Mulloway, a 60cm on a soft plastic using 2lb braid . We had to chase it around and around which was tense.


Ended up with 15 between us for the day and 35 overall for 2 and half days. Pretty good really cause they weren't firing at all.

Nah Allroy got him on a soft plastic. Got busted off a few times and dropped good ones as well. My punters club at work collected $3400 on the cup as well which was a bonus.

nice work wilb looked like the weather was kind as it normally is down there good to see you still got onto a few.

Sounds to be alright results Will. Heading down there on the 9th to 12th of December. The things we have to do for our anniversary's (or however its spelt). Will have to get the turtle back worms out for the Mulloway and bream and EP's.
