I got 62kph out of it so far .... & Im still playing with props.

It'll get faster too Boobs as Im puttin the boat on a strict diet.

We took Anthony Curtis' Hornet out for a run with his new 80 Suzuki on it, with no gear in the boat & a 17" prop it hit 60, & we need to reprop it & fiddle with the trim a bit.

Brett was there for his first run, helped him with the prop he was smiling when he came back, couldnt believe how it accelerates

Vass,
Ive arranged 6 boats now to be re-rated seems a 455/445 will be able to go to around 75/80 max given the weight & giving up one passenger....who takes 4 anyway?

You still got your 445 with the 60 Yammie ???

If I took all my gear incl Batteries , gear & Lures especially & 90kg of Deckie (useless weight ) out the bloody thing it would take off ....I could run a 19" prop with no probs

So far ive resisted in stripping everything out of the boat Boobs, I want to run it in "fishing trim" but Im getting to the point where I think Im going to become ruthless

Things are going into three piles of gear,
1/ Stuff to go back in the boat , ..but ONLY if I cant fish without it.
2/ Stuff that I can keep in a crate in the Car for emergencies
3/ Shit that goes back in the shed cause Ive never used it in the boat !!

By my calculations ive got approx 190kg of gear/weight that I cant account for......hmmmm

Im thinking 65 /68 kph might be possible

haha, you may have me then mate!
I shoudl have kept quite and not told you the boat had nothing in it and offered you a race with all my gear in it ;-)

Still got the same boat mate, the amount of times i have used it in the last two years i just cant justify buying a new one and get the use out of it. A Skeeter or a mako with a 150hp on it would probably be over kill for the small lakes i have been fishing for reddies in this year.

Your got the right idea abotu sorting out your boat. the problem with too much storage space is you tend to store to much "just incase i need it one day" items which you never end up using anyway.
