 Re: BlueFin Boats
Juzza, They do look pretty good, dont know much about them but have been trying to decide between them or an anglapro, they seem quite good also, pretty heavy duty and reasonably priced. Rowan

 Re: BlueFin Boats
Funny you ask Juzza,
I spent some time last night over several Bundy Draught pints discussing BlueFin vs Mako vs Hornets with some codseeker members from Griffith and one of their friends who is in a fmaily owned boat dealership which sells Bluefin boats. They seem to be well finished and made and I will be looking at one of their Hell Cat models when I'm ready to step up from my 445 hornet to a 5m+ boat.
I don't think there is many dealers pushing bluefin in victoria but hopefully they will be at the boat show in July.

 Re: BlueFin Boats
Rowan, just had a look at the Anglapro they look awsome too. Now i think i will have too look at them too. Boobs, Hellcat looks the goods, I was looking at the Mangrove Jack in a center console option. Will have to see how flexible they are cause i want a few non standard mods, eg motor well, under floor tank. There are 3 dealers in Vic, Horsham, Bendigo & Melb. The old Stacer 4.2 center console I have had for the last 11yrs has been a great all round boat and will be hard to beat.

 Re: BlueFin Boats
I hear they are fairly flexible and offer a range of mods. Dealers in Vic dont seem to carry a range just the basic tinnies as most dealers I guess they cant keep them all in stock. I know of an interstate dealer who is very knowledgable on them and is keen on there fishing and understands what fisherman want. I plan to speak to them in the next week or two just to get an idea of what I'm roughly looking at when the time to upgrade comes.

 Re: BlueFin Boats
Do it Juzza. I have a 455 Hornet, but I would have a 475 Tomcat in a second if funds would permit. My mate has one with a 90HP Merc, and it is a fn great boat. Very well built, well set out, and it absolutely flies! His old man has a 545 Hellcat (175hp Merc), which is also a great boat, which does about 100km/h, but its more of a Bass boat than anything, same with the 495 Thundercat. They have a nice big casting deck at the front, but it is up high just below the top line of the boat. The Tomcat casting deck is probably a foot or so lower in the boat. Give Marko a call at Hardman Marine (02) 67521066 and see if he can email you a few photos, he just finished setting another one up pretty much identical to his.

 Re: BlueFin Boats
Thanks for that Rowan. I am wanting to 4.2 MangroveJack in plate i think. I had a look at the Anglapro yesterday at Portphillip boating centre. First impressions were that i was amazed at how wide they are, A 4.2 looks live a 4.5mtr boat. Hanging to see a Bluefin now so i can compare.

 Re: BlueFin Boats
Still looking at boats guys. Have gone off the Bluefin and Anglapro now leaning towards Makocraft Frenzy 440. Has anyone had anything to do with these?
Thinking 50HP Yam 2st. 55lb Minkota bow mount. Centre console option. They seem to be able to do all the mods i am interested in.
Any thoughts.
