Post A bit of field and game
Spent a day out with the Great White Hunters at the field and game range.

We had a great day out and Boobs even ended up hitting a few. Not bad for his first go I thought.

Mal gave the boys a lesson, proving he is more than just a handy fisho!

Yes Doozer that is correct it is the Ararat Field and Game. I have been a member there since 1991. To Boobs credit he did very well for his first attempt at the sport. It was one the hardest courses that i have ever shot there. Out of each round of 25 there was only 8 or so dinner plates the rest being quite tricky. As Presto mentioned a fun day was had by all, i suppose that is why we shoot and chase the mighty cod, for fun ( and bragging rights ) Mal.

Yep, had a great day out and enjoyed a day out with the crew doing something new.
Was quite happy with the improvement from my first round to the second and have been sussing out a new Shooty and already brought up shells for my next outing.
Thanks Budge for letting me use your gun and using up your lucky shoots!
Mal certainly has some skills, there wouldn't have been to many who got the last two clays of the day on that extremly tough last throw.

Looking forward to the next round!

mmmm now thats something I miss started off in the traps back in the days of manual load and feed YES broke an arm or two (for those that know what I'm talkin bout) but ended up going alright in the Vic school boys championships LONG TIME AGO moved to NSW and got out of it due to travel expense but keep thinking I should get back into it just cant justify the expense of another shottie (I like Beretta)

I had wanted to get my gun licence for years but with the money i have put into fishing and continue to I thought I can't handle the extra expense. Late last year I finally got around to it and thought, its ok I will just get a few guns and not spend to much! ha you know what thought thought!
Now I have to try and find the time for both fishing and shooting and not to mention a few more dollars to upgrade to a good shottie.

8-) Yeah I fish as much as possible (boat, 2 kayaks and an inflatable = lotsa money) then in winter I end up back into the winter sports, KTM 525 trail riding (lotsa money) and I'm a deer hunter (Sako .270 & Sako 75 in 300 win mag) again lotsa money, then I've got the new house a 9 year old son that loves everything I do and I'm bloody married to a girl (going through a mid life crisis) that loves all the above including her Weatherby 30.06 (s##t loads of money) but hey could be worse
She could've hated everything
